Spectral and arresting. Invokes the ambiguous logic of dreams. I found myself drawn immediately to this image.

Thank you :) The background story is that I had a migraine attack a few months ago while laying in bed and
suddenly I felt something pop in my head and I became paralysed – I
couldn’t move, couldn’t call for help, couldn’t even open my eyes. I
felt totally trapped inside my body yet my mind was trying desperately to “move”. I created a whole series trying to depict what I felt at the time. I was always interesting in contrasting juxtapositions so I then became fascinated by the idea of being in movement brain-wise while being paralysed, trapped inside your own body.

You made compelling art from a frightening neurologic event (I’m a physician, as it happens). I’m glad you recovered.

This evokes the old horror movie tale, being mummified while still alive.

That’s just about the right feeling :) I had a migraine attack a few months ago while laying in bed and suddenly I felt something pop in my head and I became paralysed – I couldn’t move, couldn’t call for help, couldn’t even open my eyes. I felt totally trapped inside my body yet my mind was trying desperately to “move”. I created a whole series trying to depict the horror I felt at that time.
